What Koliva Symbolize

Specifically, the wheat symbolizes the souls, the blanched almonds symbolize the bare bones, and the nuts represent life that is recreated, while the crushed breadcrumbs and flour symbolize the light earth. The pomegranate for Christians symbolizes the glory of Paradise, the spices are the fragrances of this world, the raisins represent the sweetness of life, and also Christ, who is the vine, while sugar symbolizes the sweet Paradise.
