The Ossuary or Reliquary is a box or case in which we keep the bones of the deceased after their exhumation. It is then either kept in the ossuary of the cemetery, or re-placed in the lower left side of the grave, next to the relative, so that they are together in the afterlife.After the bones are exhumed, they are washed with wine and water with the appropriate rite in the church of the cemetery, placed in a white cloth carefully and then placed in the reliquary. Also, the safekeeping of the recovered bones is carried out at the request of the relatives and under the responsibility of the cemetery service.Placing the bones in the ossuary is an important ritual and their commemoration by the priest to accompany them to their final abode. A sacred moment for the relatives of the interred and an unpleasant but necessary process for a final farewell to the sleeping person.
